Tho Swift Flight gehiing King Swift (E. Stnnwav) was given his first lesson 'over tho pony hurdles. He fell nt the initial attempt, .but oubsorjuently jumped safely.
Furore negotiated four, of the smaller hurdles, showing jumping ability. Kairuri (J. Burgess) and Rahepoto (E. Stanway) were paired ofT over a round .of the schooling hurdles. Rahepoto crashed heavily at the second fence, Slanway receiving bruises. Kairuri, although ho hit two of tho obstacles, pleased, for it was his first time over these hurdles. Sir Archie's mission was over two hurdles. Tlo stood off at tho final ono, and narrowly averted falling. Bandaged on tho off hind leg, which he injured on Thursday, Importer was given only walking exercise There in some doubt whether lie will be able to fulfil his winter meeting 'engagements.

The report stated Ihnt thero were. 40 financial members. The balance-sheet showed receipts totalling £7l and expenses £'73. leaving a small deficit. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, M r rt G.. Howie; president, I Mr. F. J. Marshall; secretary, Mr. J, J. Goodwin; committee, Messrs. Marshall, : Goodwin, A and R. 'Mellow, J. T. Rohini son, L. 11. Lamer, T. McMillan, J. Mcj Nanghton, J. M. Allen, F, Washbourno and j F H. Ilardy. Messrs. Allen and Hardy were appointed delegates to the annual meeting of the Waikato Hunt at Cambridge. It was decided to ask tho Waikato Hunt to come to Morrinsvillo on at least threo days this season. A committee comprising 'Messrs. Allen, Hardy, Goodwin, and J. 11. Gaddis was appointed to interview property-owners to ask permission to hunt over their property. GOSHAWK'S RE HANDICAP. Goshawk has been rehandicapped 41b, from 9.9 to 9.13, for tho Cornwall Handicap, to, be run at Elleralio on June 3. Goshawk has won • two races in New South Wales during the past week or two. ono being at Handwiek and the other at Wagga. NUKUMAI- AND FINE ACRE. __ A. M. Wright, who now has his training quarters at Feilding, did not start either Nuknmai or Fine Aero at Uawera. They were both at tho meeting. So far as Nuknmai is concerned, Wright' was not satisfied that the going was soft enough for the veteran.
