NOXIOUS WEED KILLER. FARMERS EXPRESS CONCERN. [BY TEI/EGRAI'If. —OWN COHRESPON PENT. ] NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. The eradication of noxious weeds was discussed at the annual meeting of the Stratford branch of the Farmers' Union, and a remit from Midhirst was carried requesting tho Government to take full control of the supply of material and sprayers to be used in eradicating noxious weeds, and to supply them to farmers at. cost price. Mr. If. A. Hunt said that sinco it had been announced that the Government had discovered a cure for ragwort, certain firms had been endeavouring to obtain large supplies of material. In the event of that occurring the market might be cornered and retail juices rendered so high as to prevent the small farmer from being able to use tho material. Tho Government should assumo control and distribution.
