TWO SENT TG PRISON.
" BECOMING A MENACE." "This sort oE tiling is; becoming a menace," said Mr. 1". K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when four women were charged with being idle and disorderly and consorting with undesirable persons. The four accused. Cecelia Old, alias Ford, alias Parkinson, aged 43; June Millard, aged 40; Margaret McGregor, alias Gillespie, aged 48, and Mabel Stout, aged 56, all pleaded not guilty. Mr. Schramm appeared for Millard. Constable Moore said he had had Millard and McGregor under observation for some time. They had been seen drinking with undesirables on frequent occasions. McGregor was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. "Drunkenness bag been her failure," said Mr. Schramm, when Millard was charged. "I'll give her a month, instead of three," said the magistrate. Accused was also ordered to take out a prohibition order.
The other two accused, Old and Stout, were remanded until May 12.
