OPIUM-SMOKING CHARGES.
REMAND IN GISBORNE CASE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —TO ESS ASSOCIATION.] GISBORNE. Monday. A remand until May 12 was granted at the request of tho police this triorning when Ming Yee, aged 55, was charged with being in possession of opium in a suitable form for smoking, with being in possession of utensils for smoking opium, and with smoking opium on premises occupied by Dick Munn.
