OBITUARY.

DR. A. KINDER. The death occurred in Auckland on Saturday of Dr. Alexander Kinder, of Parnell, .aged 50. Dr. Kinder was born at Balclutha, his. father being a prominent farmer in the district. He had a brilliant scholastic career at Otago Boys' High School and Otago University, obtaining his B.Sc. and M.D. degrees. ! Dr. Kinder carried out post-graduate work in England, and was one of the first New Zealand doctors to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. On his return to New Zealand, Dr. Kinder entered practice in Auckland, and he has been here for about'2o years. He is survived by his wife, a daughter of the late Mr. J. J, Craig. MRS. ISABELLA ROBINSON. The death has occurred, after a long illness, of. Mrs. Isabella Robinson, a wellknown resident of Otahuhu, at the age of j 79 years. She was born in the township in 1851, and remained there all her life, being one of the oldest residents. Of strong religious convictions, she was a regular churchgoer and was one of the few remaining original members of the Angli- ] cau Church,in the district. Ilcr husband died some years ago. She is survived by five daughters and one son, MR. JAMES L. DAY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WELLINGTON, Sunday. Tho death occurred last evening at his residence, Goring Street, of Mr. James Launcelot Day, formerly of the office of tho New Zealand Railways. Mr. Day was born in 1867 at Port Chalmers, and joined tho Railway Department in 1881. He later served at Greytown. In 1889 ho was proriioted to stationmaster. and subsequently to head office in Wellington, where ho remained until ho retired in 1924. Mr. Day took a keen interest in sport, and for many years actively interested himself in boxing in tho oily. At tlie time of his death ho was a vice-presi-dent of tho "Wellington Boxing Association. He is survived by his widow, one son and two daughters. MRS. MARY WOTIIERSPOON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Sunday. The death occurred at Horsham Downs, Hamilton, yesterday, of Mrs. Mary Wolherspoon, at the age of 75 years Mrs Wotherspoon was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and came to New Zealand with her husband, Mr. James Wotherspoon, 46 years ago. For many years Mrs. Wotherspoon lias been living at River Road. Horsham Downs. She is survived by her husband, a son, and two daughters. DR. T. HARRISON. [TIT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Saturday. The funeral of the late Dr. T. Harrison, which took place this morning, was ono of the largest seen in Dunedin for a considerable time, tho cortege of motor-cars being over a mile in length. Nearly 100 wreaths were laid on tho grave. They included floral tributes from tho Dunedin Returned Soldiers' Association, of whielhDr. Harrison was an ex-president, and the headquarters of the New Zealand' Returned Soldiers' Association, as well as from all parts of Central Otago. An impressive Masonic service followed tho customary religious service, and volleys were fired by tho High School cadets, the High School bugle band sounding the "Last Post." j
