FAREWELL EVENING.
PRESENTATION AND DANCE.
A very successful dance-social, organised as a farewell to tho postmistress at Oratia, Miss P. Nadcn, was held in tho Oratia Hall on Saturday evening. Tho hall was filled by tho friends of Miss Naden, who has given three years' service to the district, and whoso marriage is to tako place shortly. On behalf of tho residents Captain P. Theet made a presentation to tho guest of honour of . a handsome oak cabinet of cutlery, and paid a warm tribute to her efficiency as postmistress. A song by Miss Norma Martin added to the pleasure of the evening. Miss B. Giles took an active part in tho presentation arrangements, and in charge of the function were Mr. J. Velio and Mr. M Marinovich. Tho Imperial Jazz Band played the music for dancing. Among tho ladies present in addition to tho guest of honour were: —Miss Peggy Naden, Mrs. G. Holebar, Mrs. B. Giles, Mrs. S. Marinovich, Mrs. R. Malam, Mrs. A. Stubbs, Mrs. J. Harper, Mrs. J. Shaw, Mrs. M. Marinovich, Mrs. Velio, Mrs. J. Velio, Mrs. J. Butterficld, Mrs. S. Vranges, Mrs. Marten, Mrs. M. Vranges, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Maxwell, Mrs. Beattie, Mrs. Cooper, Miss P. Theot, Misses Lila and Maude Cooper, Miss Joyco Beattie, Misses Annie, Violet and Daisy Marinovich, Miss Norma Marten, Miss Gwen Firth, Miss Mary Johnson, Misses Phyllis and Milly Sunde, Miss Dorrio Shaw, Miss Mary Wither, Miss Mary Silicli, Miss Dolly Buttcrfield.
