FIRE BRIGADE REUNION.
FUNCTION AT PAPATOETOE. The second annual reunion and smoke concert of the Pnpatoetoe Fire Brigade was held on Saturday evening, when over 100 guests sat. down to supper. Mr. T. B. Smytheman, chairman of the Papatoctoo Town Board, presided, and among those present wero Mr. A. W. Hall. M P., Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.. Superintendent Gilbert, of the Onehunga Fire Brigade, and representatives from Paeroa, Ngaruawnhia and other centres. A lengthy toast list and musical programme was enjoyed, items being given by Messrs. Meldrum, Bickerton, Massey, Cooper, McMinn, McSkimming, Wheeler and Marino Watson, of H.M.S. Dunedin. Mr. W. Purcell presided at the piano.
