The cluhrooms of tho Inland Bay Lifesaving and Surf Cltih, Wellington, were crowded when members assembled to farewell their president, Mr. A. Dicker, and Mrs. Dicker. Mr. Dicker has been appointed fruit inspector for the port of Auckland in place of Mr. G. Harnett, who has retired. Mr. D. Hunter presided. Among those present were Mr. R. McKeen and Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P.'s. In making a presentation of an oak clock with a silver plate bearing the crest of the club, and a life-member's badge, and expressing the appreciation of the club for the services rendered by Mr. Dicker as president from 1921 to 1950, Mr. Hunter said he felt sure he was expressing the universal regret of the members of the club at the coming departure of Mr. and Mrs. Dicker.
