LABOUR MAJORITY INCREASED

ADELAIDE, April 9

Tho scrutiny of tho votes cast at tho general election in South Australia is proceeding slowly. It is apparent that Labour's majority is increasing. Mr. L. L. Ilill, Leader of tho Labour Party, seems to bo assured of at least 30 members in tho new House of Assombly. It is not yet known whether the Premier, Mr. R. L. Butler, can retain bis seat at Wooroora. Thrco of his Ministers havo been defeated. On tho present figures tho probable stato of parties in tbo next Parliament is as follows, tho strength of each in tho late House being given in parentheses:— Labour 30 (16) Liberal 13 (27) Country Party. . 2 (1) Independent . . .. 1 (2)
