Vincont last ovenitig;—Conditions aro still unsettled ovor the oastern Tasman Sea to Now Zealand, and indications favour further showers in most districts, with thunder in the northern and Waikato areas. Tomporaturcs will bo cooler generally. North-westerly winds, moderate to strong, backing to south-west. Seas moderating on tlio east coast, but becoming fairly roj.igh on the west coast, especially southward from Cape Egmont. GOVERNMENT REPORT.. Tho Government meteorologist reported last ovening as follows: —A depression crossed the Dominion last night, but a secondary ono of cyclonic form remained off the west coast off tho South Island, and has deepened to-day. Pressure is rather low also in tho western Tasman. Moderate to strong easterly winds ovor Otago, elsewhere moderate to strong and freshening northcrlios. Seas rather rough south of Capo Egmont arid Castlepoint, moderate thence northwards. Moderate to strong winds botweon north and west and rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. The weathor will bo generally cloudy and unsettled with some rain. There will be heavy falls in parts of tho northern half of tho South Island, with thunder in places. Temperatures warm at first but later somewhat cooler.
