THE PORT SYDNEY. The Commonwealth and, Dominion < Line eteamer Port, Sydney, which in coming to Kew Zealand Hrom England in ballast to load, is roported .to have cleared Newport Newg last Monday. The vessel is scheduled to commenco loading at Lyttclton about May 5 and afterwards at Wanganui and Wellington. From Wellington she 18 to be despatched for London, via Montevideo, on May liO.

THE MARGARET W. Thn motor vessel Margaret W returned to Auckland from Gisborno yesterday afternoon and is at King's Wharf. Tho vessel broke down ,off East, Cape recently and had to be towed to Gisborno by the Tiroa. Tho mishap to the engines of the Margaret W. consisted of a broken coupling on the tail shaft, and was repaired without difficulty at Gisborne, no trouble being experienced on the return trip to Auckland. The vessel hnn now been withdrawn from commission to undergo her Annual overhaul and «urvcy.

The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hardy is duo from London to-morrow morning and will anchor off Motuihi Island to unload explosives.
