HAMILTON GOLF CLUB.
OFFICIAL OPENING. On Saturday afternoon the members of the Hamilton Golf Club held their official opening for this season. The weather was ideal for golf and the links were in splendid order, tho putting greens being vcrv keen.
Mrs. E. J. Mears, president of the Ladies' Golf Club, drove the first ball, and Dr. H. Douglas, president of the Hamilton Golf Club, played the second. Later the members and visitors wero entertained at afternoon tea by Dr. and Mrs. Douglas. Mixed foursomes over Y,\ holes wero played, the best score being returned by Mr. and Mrs. Ltnce Tompkins.
