The civil estimates 'for the Dominions' services were presented in the House of Commons to-day. They include £42,817 for Nauru and Ocean Islands and £550,000 for the Empire Marketing Board. The total expenditure for the board is £BOO,OOO, but there is a balance of £250,000 in hand. The Oversea Settlement Department receives £833,250, of which £150,000 is for land settlement and development in Australia and £31,000 for assisted passages to Australia, compared with £220,000 last year. There is £30,000 for assisted' passages to New Zealand, compared with £40,000 last year. A sum of £4OOO is allocated for the settlement of migrants, in Australia, compared with £IO,OOO last year.
