TIBET AND NEPAL.
RECENT TENSION ENDED. DALAI LAMA APOLOGISES. DELHI, March 21. The strained relations which have existed between Tibet and Nepal for some time, over the - arrest and subsequent death of a Nepalese subject in a Tibetan prison, have been ended by the Dalai Lama's apologising to the Maharaja of .Nepal. The Government of India acted as an intermediary. It was thought at one time that the incident would lead to a rupture of diplomatic relations between the two hill kingdoms.
