DIXIELAND CABARET.
Dixieland was the scene of much gaiety on Saturday evening, a large number of dancers being present. Many pretty frocks in chiffon and printed georgette were to be seen on the dance floor, looking vory cool and graceful against the green palms which line the cabaret. Mr. H. Neilson and his orchestra played popular dance numbers. The visiting team of Australian tennis players was present, also members of the Auckland Association with their wives. With the official party were: Mrs. E. Bartleet, who wore a frock of phlox pink satin with silver roses; Mrs. L. Swann, white satin with frills of black; Mrs. Fred Yates, pink and black georgette; Mrs. Campbell, orchid ripple ninon; Mrs.* Georgo Brown, jade georgette with diamante buckles; Mrs, Horn, apricot floral taffeta; Mrs. Harold Clay, delphinium blue and floralpatterned ripple ninon ; Miss Leslie Roberlon, period frock of primrose-sprigged taffeta; Miss Edna Gill, mist blue chiffon over .satin; Miss Edna Craig, camelia pink net and lace; Miss Margaret O'Connor, white chiffon velvet with deep heir, of lace and short jacket; Miss Kathleen O'Connor, cornflower blue crepe satin with shoulder spray to tone. Others present were: Mrs. J. Grahame, who wore a frock of ciei blue georgette with silver lace and spray of pink roses; Mrs. O'Hara, chartreuse green sequinned georgette; Mrs. Potts, scarlet ring„velvet and black shawl; Mrs. M. Eccles, parchment-shaded taffeta; Mrs. Albert Neville, white georgette with silver sequins; Miss Nina Wallace, black laco frock with hip swathing of satin and pink Spanish shawl; Miss Grctta Heron, green and black taffeta with deep hem of tulle frills; Miss Irvine, black taffeta; Miss J. Jenks, pink chenille georgelto with diarrynto trimming and net. frills edged with pink; Miss H. Jenks, .white laco with blue taffeta hip swathing; Miss Harrison, jade taffeta and georgette; Miss Walker, black net and georgette; Miss Molly Hutchings, Duchess blue sprigged taffeta with scallops in silver lace and pink and bluo posy; Miss Friedlander, scarlet and floral chiffon; Miss P. Mitchell, black georgette; Miss E. Denize, flamo georgette embroidered in gold and black; Miss Betty Jackson, black lace with scarlet shoulder flower; Miss McConnell, leaf green satin; Miss Ruth Owen, black satin and georgette with dark green hip bow; Miss Stewart, ecru laco and pink satin frilled frock; Miss Gaflney, silver lace over pale pink satin with pink corsage spray; Miss B. Scandrett, leaf green georgette; Miss Dell, apricot georgette with taffeta frills and green shoulder flower; Miss Prince, white georgette with touches of silver; Miss Sweeney, cyclamen chenille georgette.
