RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MATAMATA CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] MATAMATA, Saturday. At the annual meeting of tho Matamata Rugby Football Club, tho following officjals were elected: —President, Mr. J. P. White; (secretary and treasurer, Mr. S. Sarah; committee, Messrs. D. Elisor, S. Ellery, W. Clover, L. Hitchcoclc and- D. Roigard; selectors, Mr. L. W. Mehrlens (seniors), Mr. H. Jones (juniors), and Mr. P. Lawrie (thirds); delegates to Matamata Rugby Union, Messrs. Roigard, Melirtens and Sarah. After a discussion on the proposal to revert to tho old kick-into-touch rule, tho meeting decided to instruct the delegates to vote against the proposal, and to continue as at present.
THE WAIMAUKU CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPON DENT. ] WAIMAUKU, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Waiiuauku Rugby Football Club was hejd last evening, Mr. A. Wintour presiding. Tho balancesheet showed a credit balance of over £7. Tlio following officers were elected:—Patron. Mr C. T. Major; president, Mr. G. H. Monk; secretary, Mr. C. Kerr-Taylor; committee. Messrs. L. Webb. I. Mutheson. J. Hegman, T. Burrell, K. Wintour, E. Wightman, R. Wightman, G. Monk.
