VISITORS TO HOSPITAL.
REDUCTION IN THE HOURS. LIMITATION OF CALLERS. A revision of tho visiting hours'nt the Auckland Hospital has been made by the Hospital Board, and will take effect from April 1. The two-hours' visiting period 011 Sundays and Wednesdays has been reduced to one hour, 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Tlfe one-hour period on Tuesday and Thursday evenings remains the same. The rule, mora honoured in the breach than in the observance, that only two visitors shall bo allowed at one time at tho bedside of a patient, will be strictly enforced. The revision of the hours and the enforcement of the rule limiting the number of visitors at one time was made by the board, an official stated on Saturday, to minimise the inconvenience and strain often caused by a number of visitors or prolonged visits to patients. It was .solely in the interests of the patients, whose opinions on the subject had been carefully ascertained, that the board had taken these steps. Arrangements for restricting "the number of visitors at one time and for admitting preferably those whom the patients most desire to see are, it is understood, being considered by the board.
