REVIEW OF THE FIELDS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OAMARU, Friday. ■ Although a few showers fell iu Oaniaru this evening there is every prospect of fine weather for the opening ot the Oamaru Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting to-morrow:— There will not be a big field in the Autumn Hurdles .Handicap. Ihe injury to Gala Day's leg was not as serious aa at first thought and it is hoped to produce him. If so he will be a staunch favourite with Antrim Boy and Gayoma next in de--111 The Trial Stakes is very open and several of the candidates will bo well supported. Should Lord Thornond be on hand he will again carry plenty of money. Valuator. Appeal, Merry Peel, Kentish Lady and Palada are speedy gal opers and Appeal, Merry Peel and Kentish Lady may be the best backed. The Waimate winner Fair Money, will not be eligible. Ivin" Balboa will not be started in the President's Handicap owing to soreness ar.d there is a doubt about Meadow Lark, Night Lad and Waving Corn. Meadow Lark is engaged in the Flying Handicap and will be in demand for whichever event he contests. It is hoped to produce Master Clarence, but he can hardly be right after his sjiell. especially on a hard track. Topere (R. Coveney) should bo favourite. Mount Boa should run well. In the Hack Handicap the two brothers Fair Money and Fair Exchange may dispute favouritism. Crossbow . also has prospects. ~ Arrowmir will find the company in the Flying Handicap more solid than at Waimate but he and Rin Tin Tin may be prominent. If Meadow Lark is reserved he will attract a large following. . For the concluding event,, the Parkside Handicap, Stealth, Don Joss and Haze will be. well supported,
