Take 2oz. of butter, 2oz. of castor sugar, 4oz. of fiour. two eggs, 3oz. of chopped .walnuts, half a teaspoonful of baking powder, and vanilla essence. • Cream butter and-sugar, add well-beaten eggs, then the flour, /baking powder, chopped .nuts, and a few drops of essence.
