OBSCENE LANGUAGE.

MARRIED MAN FINED.

Thomas Albert Holt, labourer, aged 41, pleaded guilty to a charge of using obscene language in Cobden Street when he appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in tho Police Court yesterday. Chief-Detective Hammond said accused was a married man, and was drunk in his house when tho languago was used. The police had arrested him in answer to a complaint from neighbours. Ho had been before the Court on several previous occasions. Accused was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. A requost for time to pay tho fine was refused, the magistrate remarking that accused should bo more careful of his behaviour.
