ANNUAL SPORTS DECIDED.

PROMISING JUNIOR CHAMPION

The annual swimming sports of the Sacred Heart College were he)d in the Tepid Baths last evening, there being a large attendance of pupils and their friends.

The 33 l-3yds. and 100 yds. school championships were won by K. Smith in' 19s and lm 17s respectively. Keenan won the 33 l-3yds. junior championship in 20s, while in the 100 yds. race he returned faster time' than the senior champion, covering the distance in lm 15 2-ss. The Paeroa Association Swimming Club closed its season last evening with a carnival in the local baths. There was not a very good attendance of the public but some most interesting and even contests were witnessed. Regret was general that owing to the train being late Mr. Adams, last year's title-holder, arrived too late to compete ill the 100 yds South Auckland Centre championship. For the same reason Messrs. Baker (Hamilton) and Dudley (Te Awamutu), holders of thq 220 yds. and 440 yds. championships, were unable to fulfil some of their engagements. Principal results were
