Writing to the Herald Mr. Warren says:—"We were walking along the pathway above the drive to catch a Parnell tram to town, tho museum being on our right front. The attack was silent, sudden, and pantherlike, from behind. My attention at the time was fixed on some children running about near tho museum. " The first intimation I had was a loud scream, and, instantly turning, I saw Mrs. McKay 011 the road as if she_ had slipped and fallen down tho slope of the path. She screamed out, 'Mr. Warren, he's got my bag,' and I at once saw a man running up the drive in tho opposite direction to which we had been walking. Without stopping an instant to assist the lady I gave chaso along the road, shouting 'Stop thief.' He ran like a hare and presently sprang into tho bushes and disappeared down the hillside toward tho Parnell tunnel. ."A moment later' Mrs. McKay, who "had picked herself up, joined me, and a private motor-car driven by a lady coming by I stopped it, explained what had happend, find asked the lady if she would kindly drivo us both to tho Parnell police station, which she at once very kindly did. From tho Parnell _ station _ X rang up tho central police station, and within a short time two detectives arrived and took particulars of tho robbery. r l lioso briefly are tho facts. Neither Mrs. McKay nor myself heard tho man approaching, and neither of us ever dreamed of an attack in a public thoroughfare and in broad daylight. -
