FAIRY PUDDING.
One and a-half cups cold water, three tablespoonfuls sugar, rind and juice of large lemon. All all to come to boiling point; strain; return to pan. Mix tablespoonfuls of cornflour to smooth paste with a little water. Stir it into water in pan, and boil for two minutes. Stir through it the stiffy beaten whites of two eggs. Put into mould. Custard: Two small cups of milk, yolks of two eggs, essence of lemon, a teaspoonful cornflour, a dessertspoonful sugar.
