The following inter club grade D match w&s played on Saturday under the auspices of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, Bayfield players being mentioned first:— Bay] ield v. Ngatira.—Men's singles: Eastbury , beat White, 6—4, 6—4; Black beat Hollar d, 6—3, 6—3. Ladies' singles: Miss Philli]ip3 won from Miss Sharp by default; Miss Jones beat Miss Hughs, 6—2, 2—6. 6—4. _ Men's doubles: Eastbury and Black beat 'White and Holland, 2—6, 6—5, 6—2; Shenvin and Brooking beat Ash and Taylor, 6—4, 5 —5. Ladies' doubles: Misses Phillipps und Jones won from Misses Sharp and Hughs by default; Misses Frazer and Jamieson tied with, Misses Watt and Roberts. 5—6, 6—4 (game ' unfinished). Combined doubles: Sherwin and Miss Frazer beat Ash and Miss Watt, 6—5. 5—6. 6—4; Brooking and Miss Jamieson beat Taylor and Miss Roberl s, 6 —4, 4—6, 6—4. Baylield won by nine matches to none.
