NORTH SHORE TRANSPORT.

NEW LICENSING AUTHORITY.

The first meeting of the new No. 2 Licensing Authority, set up under the Transport Department Act, 1929, will be held in the Chamber of Commerce to-mor-row afternoon. For the past two years the Devonport Borough Council has acted as the No. 2 Licensing Authority, but under the Act passed last session the constitution of the body has been changed. The Devonport Council now has two representatives, Takapuna Council two, Birkenhead Council one, Northcote Council one, and the Waitemata County Council one. The members are Messrs. E. Aldridge, J. Hislop, J. W. Williamson, B. C. Hart, C. J. W. Taylpr, H. A. Campbell and G. O'Halloran. Officers will be elected at to-morrow's meeting, and arrangements will be made for the administration of the new body.
