REVIEW OF THE FIELDS-

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ]

WANGANUI, Friday. Steady rain has fallen all day, much to the disgust of M. J. Carroll, trainer of Pagalielli, whose chances in the Jackson Stakes will be prejudiced. Later this afternoon conditions improved. Cinuibua and lenterden are Paganelli's only likely opponents, and of these the conditions will suit Tentorden. The other events for the conclusion of the Wanganui Meeting to-morrow look open.

In the Autumn Handicap backers may select Equitant, who was unlucky on the first clay. Autoplay may be prominent.

Paitonu, who was unlucky on the first day. may do better in view of the track conditions in the Harrison Handicap, Dolomite is to run in this race, and may be troublesome.

The light-weights Panorama and Borsalone may be in the picture in the Fordoll Hurdles, from which Elicit has been withdrawn, leaving a one-dividend field. The wet track will bo all against In the Shade in the Earle Stakes, and will favour Yoma, who should race well on his recent form.

Latakia and Dolomite will not run in the Okoia. Hack Handicap, and My Own and Goldlike will bo well supported. Cadland's effort on tho first day will entitle him to the position of favourite for the Matarawa Hack Handicap. Zarcno will also have 'friends. Fernden is a very doubtful runner in the Farewell Handicap, and the light-weights Acora. and Moa Bird should run well. Latakia has been scratched for all engagements.

Elicit has been scratched for the Fordell Hurdles.
