[RESTORING ITS PROSPERITY.
SNOWDEN ON HIS TASK. (Received February 3, 5.5 p.m.) [British Wirelesß. RUGBY. Feb. 2. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. iPhilip Snowden, in the course of his epcech at Leeds, spoke hopefully of the jfcrado outlook. He said the main consideration at the moment was that the State should use all the power it had to [help to restore and increase the prosperity of industry. The responsibility of the Chancellor, (when he was faced by the impcrativo Heed of raising revenue, was to do it in Buch a way as would rather be a help arid encouragement to industry than an a«Mijtional burden upon it.
