FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND.
NEW SOUTH WALES . BENEFITS. • SYDNEY, Jan, 24. The Herbert and Tully Rivers in Queensland are in high 'flood. It is "impossible to run trains between Cairns and Townsville. The Bellenden Plains are covered. Nomal Creek has broken its banks and the residents are preparing to move. Rain has' fallen 'continuously in Sydney for the last 16 hours. Inland districts, which experienced a heat wave last week, report good falls, which have benefited the dry areas.
