COLLISION WITH WHARF.
DAMAGE TO STEAMER.
•TEMPORARY REPAIRS MADE.

While manoeuvring to berth, the steamer Kahika, 1172 "tons, struck the Newton King .Wharf, to-day. The port bow anchor was caught between the ship and the wharf, the ship's plates* and the wharf planking being damaged, although not, seriously. Temporary repairs were effected to the plates before the Kahika sailed for Wellington.
