Sir,—The Wellington case mentioned in Thursday's issue of your paper and the comments upon it by the Chief Justice afford ample cause for thought, and it is imperative that some definite line'' of action must be taken immediately. It seems to point most emphatically to the great need for the employment of women police, ' whose valuable services are recognised and appreciated in most' 1 ' progressive countries except New Zealand.
