THE CRIPPLED SOLDIER.
Sir, —Now that' all the ceremonies are over I would like to express some of the opinions of many returned soldiers, and in a few words. We had enough endurances to go through without any more being thrust upon us. Wherever one goes, take Albany for instance, whose memorial cost £250,000, one-realises that the, money could more judiciously be spent in looking after the fates- of the poor unfortunates who were crippled and sadly bent-. We do not like these sad reminiscences brought faack to us. . T. Mclntosh, 10/215.
