A number of undefended divorce cases were dealt with by Mr. Justico Herdman in the Hamilton Supremo Court to-day. In support of his application for divorce, Dudley Reginald .Barford said he married the respondent, Margaret Barford, when he was 21 years of age. His wife was then 17 years his senior. In August, 1926, ho and his wife separated, and had not lived together since. There was one child of the marriage. The petition was granted. ' «

Mary Josephine Robb said she married Robert Robb in July, 1919. They entered into a deed of separation in 1924 but lived together intermittently until Easter, 1926, when they parted definitely and had not lived together since. When first questioned as to the dato she and her husband last separated, petitioner could only say that it was in 1926. The Judge said he wanted something more definite, and stood the case down. Petitioner afterwards recalled the date, and, corroborative evidenco being given, the decree nisi sought was granted. Douglas Edward Chester, Cambridge, was granted a decree nisi against Gladys Catherine Chester, on account of respondent's desertion.

His wife's adultery with Robert Lennard was advanced by Edward Conning, of W.aitoa, as the reason for his petition for the dissolution of his marriage with Clarice Isabella Conning. Petitioner produced letters in which his wife admitted misconduct with Lonnard. The parties were married in 1924, and there were five children.

Elsie Margaret Mcintosh stated that her husband, Vivian Sinclair Mcintosh, had left her when their child was born in 1921. He had served a term in prison and she had not heard of him since his release some years ago. He had not maintained her. A decreo nisi was granted. Thomas McCarron was granted the dissolution of his marriage with Dorothy Mabel McCarron on the grounds of mutual separation. Petitioner said he and his wife had been separated since 1921. A decree nisi was obtainod by .Gertrude Pearl Griffiths in her petition against Andrew Griffiths, to whom she was married in 1915. Failure to maintain had provided grounds for a separation order granted to petitioner in 1925. A decree nisi was granted to Thomas McLaren, who was married to Dorothy Mabel McLaren in 1907. Petitioner said that a separation order had been made in favour of his wife in 1926. At his wife's request, he had returned to Waihi to see her, but a further separation had resulted.
