FEES FOR TREATMENT.
FRIENDLY SOCIETY MEMBERS

TAURANGA. Friday
A deputation representing friendly societies waited on the Tauranga Hospital Board yesterday and made a request that, fees for patients -who arc members . of friendly societies be reduced to 4s 6d a day for adults and 2s 3d for children.
The secretary of I lie board pointed out that the Tauranga Board had collected 79.1 per cent of patients' fees for the half year ended September 30.Mr. A. F. Tunks gave notice of motion for the next meeting that the request of the deputation be agreed to. J. lie board granted extension of leave to Mr. It.' King, who is visiting England and is due to return about the end of January.
Miss- Murray, matron of the Tauranga Hospital, reported that after payment of expenses the recent gardon feto realised £125.
The 'board decided to. contribute £5 toward the expenses of delegates from various boards who waited, on the Prime Minister in regard to hospital treatment and relief of Maoris; \
