RECONSTRUCTION OF SECTIONS*

The increased telegraph business between Hamilton and Auckland has made necessary the reconstruction of the line botween Hamilton and Huntly. Three gangs, consisting of 25 men, are employed on the line in the vicinity of Ngaruawahia. Temporary cables are erected, while sections of the permanent line are in course of construction. The road and railway telegraph lines are being combined in-the new work.
