SINGER FAREWELLED.

A monster farewell dance was hold in honour of Mr. Dudley Wrathall at the Peerless Theatre, St. lleliers. Mr. Wrathall is leaving for Dunedin, where ho will take up his work at the wireless station there.

Streamers, coloured lights and flowers, together with the pretty frocks of the dancers, combined to make a very pretty scene. On behalf of tho musical, literary and Dramatic Society of St. lleliers Sir. Hart expressed their regret at Sir. Wrathall's departure. Sir. G. Campbell presented him with a brass tobacco bowl and also a suitcaso with engraved initials from the Tainaki residents.

Sir. Wrathall briefly thanked the gathering and later he and Sliss Youd greatly pleased their friends with their singing. Among those present were:—Sirs. Hayes, Sirs. Brookfield, Sirs. H.
