THE TRANSPORT BILL.
MEASURE MAY BE DROPPED. STRENUOUS OPPOSITION* [BY TELEGRAPH.—SPECIAL REPORTER.] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. It is probable that the Transport Laws Amendment Bill will be dropped owing to the strenuous opposition that is threatened. In an interview this evening the Minister of Transport, the Hon. W. A. Veitch, indicated that, the bill would be dropped if opposition developed on lines that now seemed probable.
