LORD CARSOM RETIRES* ; (Received Novembor 1, 6.15 British "Wireleiis. EUGBY, Oct. 31. Lord Carson has resigned his office ail Lord Justice of Appeal. Lord Carson was appointed a Lord Justice in Ordinary of the Appeal 'Court- in ; i; 1921, with a life peerage. He lis now 75. As Sir Edward Carson he had r. great reputation and a great practice at the Bar and was a noted cross-eaaaniner. He sat in the House of Commons as a r . Conservative from 18921 to 1921 far Irish constituencies and was Solicitor-Qenerai, 1900-06. and Attorney-General* 19115.. He was in the War Cabinet, 1917-: IS; - Lord Carson came in',: much prc niinence as a leader of the lyorth of Ireland ''rebels" shortly before the war, in connection with the -"Provisional Giovera- ;f§& ment of JJteatfr'.
