The meeting resolved to request tho Thames-Hauraki Association to forward a challenge for the Hawke Cup. TIIE TE AWAMUTU CLUB. , [BX TEIEOBAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Friday. The To. Awamutu Cricket Club, afc.its annual meeting last evening, discussed the decision of the Waipa Cricket Association to start? all championship matches' this season at 10.30 a.m. and finish at 3.30 p.m. and confine them to "one-day matches. This, is quite unsuitable to Te Awamutu Club -members", though admittedly very convenient to country clubs, With so many players engaged in dating. The irony of the position is that Te Awamutu Club was the founder of tho Waipa Association. . Tho club decided not to affiliate tins .season unless more suitablo hours arc agreed to, it being pointed out that eacn country club is only inconvenienced once iii seven or eight weeks. , Tho following officers were electeo:— Patron, Sir. C. G. Downcs; president, Mr F. E. Loomb; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. M. Blair, D. Bockett H. do L. Peake. C. W. Rickit, M. W. Muir, R. G. Hodges. R-. A- Coyne, .K. C.
