INDOOR BOWLING.
OPEN RINKS TOURNAMENT.
The Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association concluded its open rinks tourney when the final was contested by teams from the Devonport and Citv of Auckland Courts of the Ancient OrJer of Foresters.' These teams _ had bach defoated the other once in the intersection play, and the high .standard of Jtheir play had attracted quite a gathering of enthusiasts, whoso anticipation of a well-contested final was realised. Up to the 16th head it was anyone's game, .with the score 19—20, but . the winners scored one each on the next four heads, and gave the losers the taskof getting five on the last head. With his first bowl Hare removed Ins opponents' woods and lay a measure for five, but Sullivan wisely came right into the head and'pushed two of his own into the count, and the losers only scored one, making the final scores Court Victoria, A. 0.F., Devdnport (Arthur Williams, I.
