KILLED BY A STAG.
FATE OF FOUR HEIFERS.
ROTORUA FARMER'S LOSS.
[DY telegraph.—own correspondent.]
ROTORUA, Tuesday
Four heifers were killed by a stag on the property of Mr. A. M. D. Campbell, whose farm is bounded by the Okareka Reserve. Evidently the heifers had been caught in a corner and were unable to escape. Tho ground in the vicinity showed evidence of a struggle. This is not the first time animals have been destroyed by stags in this locality.
