SHAREMILKERS' MEETING.
DOMINION ORGANISATION. PROTECTION OF EARNINGS. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sharetnilkers" Association was held at Paeroa op. Saturday, Mr. P. G. Shirley, presiding. The following executive committee was elected:—Messrs. P. G. Shirley, A. 8011, N. Joyce, T. Williams, F. Stewart, A. McKinnon, and T. Stevenson. Mr. Shirley was elected president. The appointment of Mr. A. Schmitt as secretary and organiser was approved. A remit was passed urging the passing of legislation making it compulsory for all vendors of stock foods and similar preparations to state the percentage of oil, albuminoids and digestible carbohydrates. Another remit was adopted asking the Department of Agriculture to analyse and make trials with various veterinary medicines and preparations for tho protection of the farmer. , , . , It was decided to seek legislation placing tho sharemilkers on the basis of wage-earners in a claim which might be made against an owner's estate for amounts due under contract, including bonus payments. , The executive was urged to increase the activities of the association by opening brunches wherever warranted. A vote of thanks was accorded to tho president for his untiring efforts in tho interests of the association. Appreciation of the work of the secretary and organiser was expressed by tho president, whose remarks were endorsed by the meeting.
