SCHOOL STEEPLECHASES.

SACRED HEART COLLEGE.

The annual steeplechases of the Sacred Heart College were held yesterday afternoon. Theie was a record number of entries, about 230 boys competing out of a roll number of 270. T. Gilhooly, last year's winner of the senior event, secured fastest time this year, and broke the college record, covering the 3J miles in the jwod timo of 22 minutes 44 seconds. N. McCarthy secured fastest timo in the junior division. Following are the results:— Seniors.—B. Keenan, 23m 475, J; E. Hall. 23m 30s, 2; T. Gilhooly, 22m 445, 3. Fastest times: T. Gilhooly, W. Barker, 23m, E, Hall.

Juniors.—G'. Molloy, 27m 32a, 1; •T. Hawke, 27m 455, 2; F. Respinger, 27m 2Gs. 3. Easiest times: N. McCarthy, 24m, 365; B. Murphy, 24m 58s; E. Cross, 25m ss.
