THE MAIIENO. With 221 passengers, us well as mail and cargo, the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Malieno left Auckland for Sydney at mid day yesterday. The vessel is due at Sydney on Tuesday, and is to bo despatched for Wellington next Friday.

ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa was despatched from Sydney for Auckland at mid-day yesterday with 213 passengers, as well as mail and cargo. She is due on Tuesday morning. H.M.S Diomede moved from Shcerlegs Wharf to Central Wharf yesterday, preparatory to her departure for England on Tuesday. H.M.S. Under charter to the Atlantic Union Oil Company, the new Swedish motor-tanker Gust a: E. Renter is reported to have cleared Los Angeles last Wednesday with a bulk oil cargo fo" discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney. She is due a* Auckland about October 17. She is a vessel of 0336 tons and was built at Gothenburg, Sweden, last year. PIAKO FROM LIVERPOOL. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Piako i 3 now scheduled to reach Auckland from Liverpool next Wednesday. The vessel has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. WAIKAWA BERTHED. The Union Company's transpacific steamer Waikawa, which reached Auckland from Los Angeles on Thursday evening, berthed ut Queen's Wharf yesterday morning. Tho vessel has lumber, case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge nt Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The general cargo includes a large quantity of onions, of which nearly 2000 tons are for Auckland. The vessel loaded at Vancouver. Ocean Falls, San Francisco and Los Angeles. She sailed from Los Angeles on August 2. Stormy weather encountered when she was nearing New Zealand delayed her arrival by about 12 hours. Captain J. With nearly 2,000.0000 ft. of lumber, as well as case oil and general cargo, from Pacific Coast ports the American steamer Golden Cloud arrived yesterday afternoon. She is unloading nearly 930,000 ft of lumber and 2000 tons of general cargo and case oil for Auckland at Queen's Wharf. The remainder of the cargo is. for Wellington and Dunedin. The cargo was loaded at Vancouver, Tecoma, Seattle, Aberdeen, Astoria, Eureka, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The Golden Cloud sailed from Los Angeles on August 1. During the voyage the weather was generally fair, but strong westerly winds and rough head seas were encountered during the last two days. Captain A.
