DAMAGE BY FIRE.
OUTBREAK IN GARAGE. MAIN BUILDING SAVED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Friday. A fire broke out in Davidson and Gillies' garage in Moray Place at 1.30 o'clock this morning, and three cars and the workshop were damaged extensively. The brigade was just in time to save the fire from spreading to the main building and consequent serious loss. The portion of the building which was damaged was insured in the Victoria Office for £7O. The contents, equipment and second-hand cars were covered in the Australian Provincial Assurance office for £4OO, £IOO and £SOO, respectively. The total damage is estimated at £6OO.
