FILM STAR'S TIME-TABLE.
While working at a new film, Tola Negri, the famous film star, used to leave her Hat in London almost every day at £S.IS a.m. in order to bo at tho studio, ready for call, at L a.m., and very rarely did slio leave before 7 p.m. And yet people sigh enviously lor the wonderful, glamorous life of tho film star! Here is her time-table for tho last four days at her London studio:— First day —Commence work in costume and in make-up at 0 a.m.; finish at mid night. Second day.—Commence work at u a.m.; finish at 10.45 p.m • Third day. —Commence work at 9 a.m. ; finish at <UO a.m tho following day. Fourth day.—Commence work at 11 a.m.; finish at 7 a.m. the following day. And most of the time was required to " register " tho most intense emotions' In one seen, she is playing opposite Mr. Warwick Ward, and lie is required to give her an angry push. After rehearsing the incident and playing it before tho camera for the first time. Miss Negri declared that Mr. Ward was not using sufficient violence, and insisted that be should hit her on the shoulder as if lie really meant it. Rather reluctantly he agreed, and tho scene wa<- recommenced This time Mr. Ward hit liei very much moro forcibly, and slit fell backwards, hitting her head injainst a mirro with a terrific crash Then, as she slid to the ground she again struck her head on a chair, and she lost consciousness. Iho camera man, of course, continued to operate, overjoyed in seciir ing such a realistic scene, and then the star was carried to her dressing room. Bui after n short rest she was once more facing the camera' And her fellow players greeted her with a rousing cheer.
