LADIES' AUXILIARY.

The monthly meeting and At Home of tho Ladies' Auxiliary was held in the club rooms Nolson Street, yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs. Ferner, reported having visited and spoken at one or twp gatherings in the outlying districts on tho aims and objects of tho work among the childron and young people of tho city. It was reported that tne recent street collection now amounts to £917 6s 2d. The expenses wero £lB 10s, and building will begin immediately. Many plans for the future, and ways and means of achieving them, wero discussed and a pleasant afternoon was spent. Among those present were:—Mrs. Ferner (president), Mrs. Pratt, Mrs. Eaton, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Kerr, Mrs. McLachlan, Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Gaudin, Mrs. Harrison, Mrs. Winks, Miss Davies and Miss O'Brien. Apologies were recoived from Miss Miller, Miss Williamson, Miss Eady and Miss Millikin.
