HOCKEY.

LADIES' ASSOCIATION. 'A meeting of the executive of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association was presided over by Miss P. 11. Dawson. Delegates from Northern Wairoa, Piako, Eangitaiki and Waipa were also present. It was decided that an invitation be extended fo the Hinemoa Ladies* Club {Hiiurangi) to visit Auckland on October 5. A committee consisting of Mesdaraes Cooper and Mason, Miss Dawton and thp bon. secretary was appointed to attend to the necessary arrangements. The following team was chosen to meet the HikuraDgi team: —Misses Q. Ward, F. Cooper, U. Hall, C. Bestic. X. Hall, Jf. Eaisher, P. Dawson, V. Derham, G. Lowe, K. McGill, B. Goldsbrough.

The Waihi Association was granted permission to arrange games with teams representing the Rotorua Association. The Mount Eden junior team was granted permission to arrange a game .with the Papatoetoe Club on a date to he determined later," and the Wesley Club to arrange' a game for its junior team With Bnckland .juniors at Buckland on a date to be arranged. It was decided to accept the c.ffcr of the "i.W.C.A. Club to hold the association's closing function and presentation of badges and trophies in the Y.W.C.A. gymnasium on October 12.
