WORK-A-DAY FROCKS.
Cotton taffetas are made in such soft and pleasing designs—and generally sold at a very modest price—that thero is no excuse for the busy housewife to look other than charming when about her daily duties. Working dresses made in these fabrics should always have their accompanying bibbed apron in tho same material. Worn for damp or dirty tasks they prevent the front of the dress from becoming soiled, and at the same time they aro hardly noticeable. Tho effect is thus much smartei than when an apron of a different material is worn
Four yards will mako a simple dres3 and an apron cut with a bib and fixed crossover straps at the back. Those who like a dusting cap should have a V.A.D. ■square of tho material, and wear it in tho regulatio'i style. Thus a very attractive working garb is evolved.
