PETROL POINTS.
Care shbuld bo taken when using petrol to keep as far away as possible from a naked light, as petrol is fiighly inflammable. Perhaps tho best way is to apply it in tho open air. Petrol can bo used for cleaning silk lampshades. Immerse tho shade in a bowl of petrol, leave for a minute or so, then wring out. The petrol will also clean bead fringes. The samo potrol may be used again and again. Leave it to settle then pour off tho clear liquid into another' vessel and cover securely. .Add a few 'drops of petrol to the rinsing water after washing any kind of silk article or garment This keeps tho material from having a " washed-out " appearance. Petrol will remove grease spots from any kind of material. Apply from the fringo of the stain, working with a circular movement towards tho contro.
