Tlio battleship Queen Elizabeth, tho aircraft-carrier Courageous, tlireo destroyers and tho Bryony, tho yacht of tho Commander-in-Chief, Admiral Sir F. L. Field, are duo to nrrivo nt Constantinople on October 12 for a stay of nine days at tho invitation of the Turkish Government.

Tho arrangements mado provide for a visit of tho Commander-in-Chief to tho Premier, Isinet Pasha, at Angora and for his reception by tho President, Mustapha Kemal Pasha, in or near Constantinople.

This will bo the first occasion on which a British naval squadron will have passed through tho Dardanelles ince the crisis of 1922.

Tho Queen Elizabeth, flagship of the Mediterranean Fleet, played an important part in tho operations against the Dardanelles during tho war. Tho Courageous is Britain's latest aircraftcarrier. She is of 18,600 tons with a speed of 31 knots.
